CELEBRATING RITA'S 70!
Dear Ones,
On the 21st of February I, Rita, WIll be turning 70! My heart’s
desire is to celebrate this special day by helping others.
We need to continue to help alleviate hunger. The need is still
great and it is heartbreaking to see the struggle many go through
for just the bare necessities.
Meanwhile schools are reopening as well, which is yet another big
struggle for the poor communities. We are also looking for help to
pay for school enrolment fees, school uniforms, attendance fees for
ECD centers, etc. For example in one school the enrollment fee for
a Grade R student is R 1200 and then R 250 per month.
Meanwhile contacted very regularly with requests for
help with electricity, food, and so on. Parents are struggling,
unable enroll their children for lack of funds, and many ECD
Centers are accommodating several children for free in order to
prevent them roaming the streets, and are themselves in need of
assistance. If you can, please help contribute towards this so that
we will be able to help as many as possible.
These request are not only coming from Sir Lowry’s Pass, but
also from other surrounding townships, and areas. Recently we were
also called upon to assist a feeding scheme in Malawi as the people
there had been badly hit by hunger and food prizes skyrocketed.
Any and all help towards these needs will be greatly
appreciated. If you would like to donate specifically towards
something please include a reference with your gift.
